Hi All,

More information as well as tips and tricks from YouTube PowerSlam.

The last month has been quite pleasant with no power cuts because of the tourist season but now, the tourists have gone and power outages have started again which can be very frustrating at times.

I am off to India for about 10 days – my husband has to go there on business and I was invited to go along too. Unfortunately the company concerned has not yet sent us the flight tickets, so exact timing is uncertain. I believe we will be headed to Mumbai first and will probably sleep over there, then on to Indore on the 28th through till March 4th when we go to Delhi for a couple of days.

My husband and I do plan to make a side trip to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal as well. I Have also made contact with a couple of guru types (video software) who live in New Delhi and have made tentative arrangements to meet them while I am there. Hopefully I can pick their brains and bring a nugget or two back for you.

I am putting together a new module for you. It will be ready by the end of this week. It is not very long, but does have several important tips, so look out for Module 10.

I recently purchased Vidneo and loved it.  You can see my full Vidneo review  in the Product Review section – or just pop directly over  to the Vidneo sales page

My overall feelings regarding the main Vidneo software…. I love it. It allows for fast and efficient work.

Got a REALLY nice tip from one of our Gold Members, Doug Page, which he found at

If you are looking for recently uploaded videos then add a comma, space and “today”, “this week” or “this month after the search query.

to find a specific channel then add a comma space channel to the search term.

you can also add terms such as “partner” to find official videos; “movie”; “hd”; “3d”; “playlist”; “long” for long videos.

For an exact match in terms of a title you can make use of the “allintitle: “ query as well.

From time to time, we land up deleting plugins from our wordpress sites. Unfortunately sometimes bits and pieces of code get left behind and mess things up.  This is what happened to me. Here is the fix –

A video creation tip – mix snippets of video with still images. This gives great visual interest and looks very professional .

Need to download youtube clips? you can use Keepvid Video Downloader over at keepvid dot com. It is a free web application that allows you to download videos from sites like YouTube, Facebook,, Vimeo, DailyMotion and others. All you need is the URL of the page that has the video you want to download. Enter it in the textbox at the top of their web page and simply click ‘Download’.

My, my…it seems that Twitter is also planning on hopping on to the video bandwagon. This is apparently going to happen some time during this year.

Meanwhile Vine has already hit 40 million users in just two years. Then of course there is Facebook video which is really popular with the advertising industry, not to mention all the other video sites that abound. Despite everything YouTube still heads the video stakes with over a billion users every month.

Just to put everything into perspective as regards Facebook video vs YouTube video, when it comes to earning via advertising… YouTube pays their Partners and Facebook, which does not have a Partner Program, doesn’t share anything, though they do get your videos in front of those who really want that information. It seems to me that it might be worth making sure you upload a copy to each. Hopefully it is only a matter of time before Facebook shares a bit of their money around.

Have fun with your video Marketing

All the best
